Soudal acquires Seal Systems in Ireland

Soudal is pleased to announce a very significant foreign acquisition in Ireland. The sole distributor of Soudal products in the local market, Seal Systems, will now join the Soudal Group.

Our local partner, Seal Systems, is now officially acquired. The company has been the exclusive local Soudal distributor in Ireland for 30 years. The acquisition is part of a strategic decision to strengthen our presence within the local market and build a larger team of Soudal representatives in the region. The acquisition completes the Soudal network throughout Europe, with subsidiaries active across each country within the continent.

A second acquisition in the same week includes Profflex, a leading producer of PU foam in Russia. The company has a turnover of 15 million euro and employs 70 people. For Soudal, this acquisition is a further step in strengthening our position in the Eastern European market.

In case of both acquisitions, the employment at the companies remains unchanged and the current management will stay at the helm. This allows Soudal to benefit from the specific local strengths of the acquired companies and maintain healthy relationships with the on-going customer base in each country. Profflex and Seal Systems will be the 66th and 67th subsidiaries in the Soudal Group.
