Air- and vapour tight membrane

Airtight and damp-proof membrane to be used on the inside of all types of window-to-wall joints. Can be plastered over on both sides. Self adhesive on the window side and equipped with a butylene adhesive strip for the initial bonding on the inner cavity wall leaf. Always use Soudafoil 330D or 360H for full surface bonding.

Applications

Used for general air- and vapour tightness on the inside of window-to-wall joints.

Instructions

There are 2 methods for applying airtightness tapes. You can work with a single strip or you can work with 4 separate strips. In both cases, apply the tape with the blue self-adhesive strip on the side of the window frame so that the printing is legible from the inside. You can also apply the tape on the front of the window frame (and flip the tape over afterwards). Ensure that the surface is dust, moisture and grease-free. The airtightness tape is also provided with a gray butyl strip which, after the window has been installed, ensures the initial bonding onto the masonry during curing of the adhesive. In order to adhere the tape in an air- and vaportight manner (for example on uneven surfaces), a suitable bonding and adhesive mastic is used, eg Soudafoil 360H.
