Bonding of porous materials
You can quickly reattach a tile or mosaic stone that has become loose. Below we explain how you can easily fix this in four practical steps.
Instructions
1. Clean the surface
Remove irregularities and make the wall or floor dry and dust and grease free. One of the surfaces must be porous to obtain good adhesion. Sand if necessary.
2. Apply the adhesive
Thoroughly stir the Soudal Super Tile Adhesive pot or open the casing. Apply the adhesive to the surface using a spreader. The size of the spreader that you use will depend on the tile size. Work at an angle of 60 degrees.
3. Position the tile
Position the tile with a sliding movement on to the adhesive layer. Press firmly. You can correct within a period of 15 minutes. Note: Allow the adhesive to be drawn in for 10 to 15 minutes before you position the tile with regard to closed surfaces.
4. Sealing
You can seal the joints between the tiles after 24 hours. Check that the tile has adhered properly before you start sealing. Note: The larger the tile, the more time the adhesive needs to dry.
Tip
- Did you spill Soudal Super Tile Adhesive? As long as the adhesive has not hardened, you can easily remove any residue and stains with water.
- If you are repairing a large area, calculate how many tiles you can install in 20 minutes. Only apply adhesive to that surface.
- You can also use Soudal Super Tile Adhesive to install stone strips or to tile small areas.
