National Account Manager – Professional and Industry

Reporting to Commercial Director – Professional and Industry

Location: Flexible

Scope: National role

Full UK driving license required as suitable company vehicle will be provided.

 

Job Role

  • Winning and developing new professional construction national account customers.
  • Winning and developing new industry sector customers.
  • Establishing, maintaining and developing relationships with a portfolio of existing national account customers.
  • Developing and implementing national account plans.
  • Achieving agreed sales and profit targets
  • Negotiation of profitable commercial trading agreements
  • Keeping the business informed of up-to-date account, channel and competitor developments.

 

Key Attributes

  • You will already be working within or have experience of a professional construction and/or industrial sales environment.
  • You will ideally have gained experience selling to significant distributors and end-users.
  • Account management experience would be preferred.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, both verbally and written.
  • Structured CV with evidence of career progression.
  • A proven track record of working autonomously, whilst making a strong contribution to a team.
  • A focus on developing new business
  • Educated to a high standard: Preferably to Degree level, ideally in a business, economics, mathematics, engineering or a science related subject.
  • Strong numerical ability and commercial acumen.
  • Market research and product development experience preferred.
  • Hands on and enthusiastic approach to presenting and demonstrating products to customers.
  • Excellent level of IT proficiency using Microsoft Office, Dynamics CRM.
  • Drive, initiative, motivation, over-achiever in career results to date.
